We're demanding new ways to work

Many fell in love with the work from home lifestyle that came from the pandemic but for me, it was the work from anywhere lifestyle that caught my attention. This may be a cliché, but my biggest dream will always be and has always been to travel the world. But this seems to be easier said than done.  

I took advantage of my summers and breaks during university but since then, a lot has changed. I graduated university and settled into full time employment. 

Finding a workplace that provides flexibility can be one of the greatest benefits out there. The ability to be able to work from home or somewhere else to be able to manage your family obligations or just life for that matter, are crucial and not always available.  

Why limit ourselves to a short vacation? Why not live a work-cation by staying in Mexico for a month and work from there? Currently, one of our team members is in Costa Rica, working remotely. While this may have seemed like an impossibility a few years ago, now, remote work Is just like being right down the hall from your co-worker.  

Overall, remote work offers numerous benefits to both employees and employers. With the continued growth of technology and the internet, it's likely that flexible work will become even more common in the years to come. As businesses continue to adapt to the changing landscape, it's important to recognize the advantages of remote work and embrace the opportunities it presents. I have noticed a huge shift in mindset over the past few years. Employees are now prioritizing a work life balance more than ever before. 

The financial sector gets a bad wrap, people think the only way to succeed in the industry is being nailed to a desk for 12 hours a day, but I'm here to tell you that you have other options. We moved to a 30-hour work week last year and we haven't looked back! Maybe it’s getting off a little earlier or maybe you just want a four day work week or shorter hours in the summer. Being successful means a lot more when you actually have time to enjoy it! The path to entrepreneurship in the financial industry will give you these options, and it's the path that I am working towards here at Doyenne Corporation.
